There is a distinct magic to the way the golden afternoon gives way to a cool breeze over Rome. Especially when viewed from a lively open-air rooftop. To kick off the wedding weekend, family and friends gathered up at the Terrazza Eitch Borromini. Meeting high above Piazza Navona to celebrate alongside the vibrant energy of the city. The view from Terrazza Borromini is absolutely breathtaking, offering an unparalleled 360-degree panoramic look across the historic heart of Rome.

Golden hour

The evening began just as the golden hour hit. Bathing the historic skyline in a warm, amber glow that illuminated the ancient stone facades below. As family and friends arrived. They were greeted with a welcome prosecco toast and a classic Italian aperitivo. Instantly setting a celebratory tone. A relaxed flow of an elegant buffet was served as the sun slowly descended behind the rooftops. Allowing everyone to mingle freely, drink in hand, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere before the twilight settled over the city.

Blue hour

Capturing a welcome dinner at Eitch Borromini as a photographer is about watching the light shift. The warm afternoon light gracefully giving way to the deep, cinematic tones of the blue hour. The open, historic architecture of the terrace perfectly frames beautiful candid moments. Genuine laughter, the conversations, and the shared excitement for the days ahead. As the sunset faded into the deep blue hour, the energy seamlessly shifted. Vibrant cocktail drinks arrived, the city lights below flickered to life, and the sounds of lively conversation carried beautifully into the evening. It was a flawless, intimate prelude to the grandeur of the following day, when the festivities moved from the historic center to the majestic gates of Castello Brancaccio for the main wedding event.
