A gondola ride promise
Setting foot on this city is always a breathtaking experience! No matter how many times one has seen this truly unique city suspended on water. Proposing marriage in Venice is one of the most romantic way to ask your partner to spend the rest of their lives with you. Even more so asking the big question on a gondola ride. Passing through the small water canals. Waiting for the right moment to arrive at the right place. When the gondola pulls out onto Canal Grande. Lining up with the Rialto bridge in the background. In the beautiful sun setting light. The moment was perfect!
And the question was welcomed with a faithful yes! Followed by much joy and happiness as we maneuvered through ancient buildings and canals. Taking engagement pictures in Venice as we rode the gondola in. Upon descending we were immersed in the frenetic carnival festivities! Where all the participants were wearing typical Venetian masks and costumes. So we mingled in Saint Mark’s square.
Taking photos underneath the portico which was beautifully embellished with lights and decorations. On a small bridge over the water. Then we took a small walk back to Rialto bridge where we took our last engagement pictures at dusk overlooking the Grand Canal!
”Andrea helped me plan the perfect surprise wedding proposal for my new fiance. I literally booked him a week before I planned on proposing and it went as smooth as it could have gone. Andrea and I were able to communicate and time the perfect setting for my proposal to take place during our gondola ride. He was punctual, very communicative all through the process, and made our photography session a success, even though it was one of the busiest weekends in Venice with the Carnivale taking place.
