Papal Blessing in Rome

Mid January in Rome Italy and one of my first photo shoot of 2011.  The weather wasn’t promising, it was cold but not raining.  Not great for photos but HDR photography can at times bring out the colors hidden away in the clouds.  So after the Papal Blessing we took a walk in around Saint Peter’s square in the Vatican  to capture some pictures.

The photo shoot itinerary

We started beneath the monumental colonnade which opens into the sweeping view of the piazza. Then we walked on Via della Conciliazione towards Ponte Castel Sant’Angelo.   Love the black and whites but my favorite is the opening picture:  the bus with the aqueduct picture enriching the image with a nice compositional element.
