Photography Tour from the Roman Colosseum to Campo dei Fiori in Rome

Beautiful sunny day by the Roman Colosseum or Roman Coliseum, where the photography tour started.  I was shooting against sunlight but a little drop of flash managed to lighten up the subjects and balanced photo exposure well.  We proceeded by stepping on ancient stones to the other side of the Colosseum to capture a different prospective of the landmark with a quick stop by Constantine’s Arch which was on the way.

After swinging around the Coliseum we left but not before taking a few more pictures  of it from the Monti Quarter side and on to other locations in Rome.  For better or worst there were a lot of graffiti along the way and I couldn’t help myself immortalize some of them  in photography.

Again we ran into the Colosseum from a distance and we stopped for a few more photos testing out new ideas.
Monti is an inspiring quarter in Rome which offers different prospective and photographic possibilities to capture ancient Rome with a more urban modern and decadent twist to it.

We then headed  on Via dei Fori Imperiali though ancient imperial Rome and up Piazza del Campidoglio trying to swing around the Fori Imperiali and reach the other side towards the Tiber river.   The objective was to go down on the Isola Tiberina (Tiber Island) but the entrance to the river side of the island was closed off.

As a change of plan we headed inside the Jewish Ghetto and into the small alleys which lead to Piazza Campo dei Fiori.  Rome often offers unpredictable photo opportunities like the picture of a water fountain which we ran into by chance.

And then Piazza Campo dei Fiori, just before the fruit and vegetable marketplace closing. We wandered among the stands and captured some nice pictures of everything, trying things on and tasting others.
After taking a picture underneath the Statue of Giordano Bruno we moved on to smelling species and herbs and tasting liquors and drinks.

The Photo Tour ended and on our way back we captured some more pictures here and there.

I like this panoramic shot we got back at Fori Imperiali.
